Grant Cardone’s Economic & Business Predictions for 2023
Not to go all doom-and-gloom on you, but it's time to make an important decision about the economic contraction that’s underway.
I believe it’s probably going to last 18 to 24 months… or maybe even a little longer.
It's going to be ugly and nasty.
The longer it lasts, the more it’ll hurt.
Most people will not make a decision in the process of this economic contraction.
It's like they're in the ocean… and the tide's going to take them this way and that.
Then it's going to wash them onto the shore… and bring them back out.
Most people are just going to let this contraction happen to them…
But that doesn’t have to be you.
You have to make a decision about where you're going to end up in this cycle.
You have to ask yourself:
Where do I want to be on the other end of this contraction, so that my life, career, or business will not get smaller?
Because you can grow the FASTEST that you've ever seen yourself grow… especially during a contraction where there’s likely going to be fewer people to compete with.
See, a guy I know is trying to grow his company by 10% next year…
And I told him, “We could literally buy 10 businesses in 2023 faster than you can grow your business by 10%.”
I’ve seen it happen before, and I know that’s how fast you can scale during a contraction.
Because here’s what I foresee in 2023….
The net worth of many people will likely get smaller as a result of this global reset.
We’re starting to see it already…
The first thing that gets cut is advertising dollars. Ad spending has already declined for four consecutive months in September 2022.
The second thing to go is jobs. Many of you have already seen somebody down the hall from you getting cut.
Which leads to the third thing that’ll happen: fear. When people start admitting to a recession and laying off employees, it’ll scare everyone into not spending money.
In fact, Jeff Bezos recently encouraged everyone to stop all major investments and expenditures.
Because this is a reset, a redistribution of wealth, whether you believe it or not.
If you go back the last couple hundred years, this cycle has happened over and over again every 10 to 20 years…
For example, there were wealthy people still making money if you go back to the Great Depression in 1929.
There’s a saying by best-selling author, Dr. Robert Anthony:
“If we divided all the money in the world equally, in a short time the rich would be rich again, and the poor would be poor.”
Why?
Because those wealthy people have specific strategies for getting through economic contractions.
They don’t share these strategies with anyone else, but here’s what I’ve learned from years of studying these people.

- One, they're making decisions to create wealth for themselves, and not just little bits of wealth. They create massive amounts of wealth that can weather any storm.
- Two, they know how to market themselves. They’re constantly asking themselves:
- How do I market myself right now?
- How do I market my brand?
In a contraction, obscurity due to the lack of marketing becomes an especially big problem.
People always wonder why some people get to keep their jobs, while other more skilled employees get laid off.
It’s not fair at all, but the people who know how to market themselves tend to be the ones who get to keep their jobs.
And instead, employers cut the guy who they didn’t know existed… the guy who didn't know how to market himself successfully as an employee.
Even if he gets laid off and starts his own business… it’s likely going to fail because he doesn't know how to market himself, how to sell his products, and how to manage people…
So he’s going to freeze…
He’s going to go home to his wife and look at his kids and not feel like a good husband or father.
See, these contractions happen every 10 or 12 years and they brutalize families…
And it doesn't have to happen to yours.
You can't stop this reset that's happening, but you can take advantage of it.
You can have emergency meetings with your family right now and acknowledge that this is going to happen.
You and your family can make a decision together.
My wife, my 11-year-old and 13-year-old daughters, and I have made our decision to make some sacrifices in this contraction… so we can expand.
We recognize it’ll take 3, 5, 10X the effort it took us before just to produce the same results…
But here’s the thing – I know we don't have to 10X at that level forever.
You might be shocked to hear me say that…
But when you go into this contraction, you’ve got to remember the hard times aren’t going to last forever.
Because in these recessions, nothing really changes.
It's just an illusion when the news cries, “Oh my God, there's no money now!”
No, the money's still there.
Nothing's really changed except everybody's mindsets.
There's always been an abundance of money on Earth and a shortage of people going after it.
You still have 8 billion people on the planet driving the economy every day… but there will be FEWER people going for the money.
And this is the perfect time for you to go all out and get yours.
Because do you know what happens if you 10X your efforts for the next 8-9 months?
Do you know what happens when you start growing a new network of connections?
Other people are going to back out, cut their losses, and say they’re grateful that they’re doing better than somebody who’s worse off.
And you're going to look up and realize there are only three or four of you left playing the game.
Instead of comparing yourself to someone worse off, you’ll be setting an example for everyone who’s suffering in your family and business, and you’ll say…
“No, we refuse to contract. We should be expanding and having prosperity at all times, especially in tough times.”
But first, you’ve got to make a decision.
