Allergies & Asthma Summit 2023
You may think allergies are seasonal, but the truth is they are impacting you 24/7, every single day. We compensate constantly for the headache, the skin issues, the fatigue, or the many other symptoms of allergies.
Our health experts will cover the gamut – from food sensitivities and skin reactions to breathing issues and the unsung manifestation of allergies: brain issues (brain fog, memory problems, mood disorders, etc.). In fact, new research is showing that a huge percentage of those suffering with anxiety and depression are actually experiencing mast cell activation due to an allergic trigger.
The good news is that there are new, natural solutions and protocols to help address food, mold, pollen, dust, animal dander, chemical sensitivity and even the more subtle causes.

Getting Past Allergy Season
With allergy season in full swing it’s important to stay healthy. You not only want to survive, but thrive throughout these challenging months.
Seasonal allergies affect millions of people, with symptoms ranging from itchy watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing and skin rashes to itchy throat, wheezing, congestion and headaches – and if you have asthma, your symptoms may worsen at this time of year.
These symptoms are your body’s way of telling you something is wrong. They are a reaction to foreign substances, such as pollen, dust or mold. These reactions cause your body to produce antibodies known as immunoglobulin E or IgE.
You may remember a time when allergy season was not as severe as it is today.
Here are a few reasons why :
- Increased consumption of processed foods
- Rising temperatures & pollution
- Antibiotics, antibacterials & poor diet
Many of us are also spending more and more time indoors, which drives up exposure to indoor allergens and irritants such as dust mites, pet dander, cleaning products and pollutants.
The good news is you can lessen the severity of allergies or even eliminate them altogether with just a few steps:
- Address food allergies & consider a cleanse or elimination diet
- Limit your exposure to allergens & minimize indoor air pollution
- Supplement with herbs and vitamins
- Ask your doctor about sublingual and low dose immunotherapy options
Nutritional Solutions for Relieving Asthma Symptoms
Asthma affects millions of people, and its prevalence has been on the rise for decades – especially in children.
An essential part of managing asthma is environmental control, including identifying and eliminating allergenic foods and desensitizing against inhalant allergens, such as mold, pollen and dust mites.

- GABA
Consulting your environmental or integrative medical practitioner on a strategic diet and lifestyle plan can be the best way to address your symptoms, help reduce your need for rescue medications and get you on the right path to a healthier you!

Gift #3: “Demystifying Food Reactions” eBook

But when it disagrees with our bodies, the result can be just the opposite – an allergic reaction, allergy-like symptoms (like rashes and asthma), pain, fatigue, digestive issues and more.
Learn how to find and address your personal food triggers so that you can continue on your journey to better health!
Even if you think you’re eating a clean diet, you may be sensitive to foods otherwise considered healthy. Remember, every body is different, everyone has unique reactions to foods.
The most common food allergens are cow’s milk, soy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, fish and egg…
And certain foods show up frequently as sensitivities or intolerances:
- Gluten
- Dairy
- Nightshades
- Foods high in histamines
- FODMAPs
Even if you don’t have a conventional food allergy, food sensitivities or intolerances could still be contributing to your allergy and asthma symptoms.
That’s why it’s essential to understand food allergies, sensitivities, intolerances and other food reactions to help identify and exclude offending foods.
Steps you can take to understand the nature of your reactions include:
- Trying an elimination diet
- Keeping a food diary
- Running lab tests
- Working with a practitioner to customize your diet
This eBook will help take the mystery out of your symptoms and help you identify your personal food triggers so that you can continue on your journey to better health!
With time, there’s hope that you may be able to, once again, enjoy excluded foods.
Gift #4: “Treat Your Allergies Naturally” eGuide
According to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, more than 50 million people in the U.S. have some form of allergy…
And the incidence has been increasing each year for almost 50 years in industrialized countries.
Do you know what triggers and/or is exacerbating your allergy symptoms?
Gain a new understanding of allergy triggers, symptoms, treatment and prevention with this comprehensive guide that covers everything from food and seasonal allergies to natural alternatives for treating hives, eczema, asthma and more!
Why do we get allergic?
The ability to become allergic or hypersensitive is a multifactorial event that includes heredity, environmental exposure, complex immune mechanisms on recognition of foreign antigens, the diet of the mother, and early-life food exposures.
The hygiene hypothesis suggests that the modern sterile world has deprived our immune system of exposure to allergens and microbes that help our immune system develop immune tolerance.
In this comprehensive eGuide you’ll learn about:
- The history of allergy in post-hygiene countries
- Common allergens & what affects allergies
- Symptoms of seasonal & food allergies
- Allergy testing options
- Conventional and alternative treatments & modalities
- Home, diet & lifestyle tips for allergy & asthma prevention
- And more!

About Darin Ingels
Dr. Darin Ingels is a licensed naturopathic doctor, author, international speaker and leading authority on Lyme disease.
Also a former Lyme patient, he was able to overcome his own 3-year battle with Lyme disease after conventional treatment failed and he became progressively debilitated. He then applied what he learned about diet and lifestyle management in his practice and found that his patients recovered faster and with less side effects. He has now treated thousands of patients with chronic illness using his novel approach, and many have gone one to live healthy, symptom-free lives.
Dr. Ingels has been featured on WebMD, MindBodyGreen, BeWell, ThriveGlobal, Motherly, Voyage LA and Dr. Ron Hoffman’s Intelligent Medicine podcast, and is the author of The Lyme Solution: A 5-Part Plan to Fight the Inflammatory Autoimmune Response and Beat Lyme Disease.
