Pause, Breathe, Be Here Now – 10 Day Meditation Experience With Ram Dass & Friends
The publisher (One Commune) of this event has made the unexpected business decision to no longer work with smaller websites, such as ours.
We were given zero notification until it happened, and this was after we had been a strong supporter of their work for a couple of years now.
While we are committed to your spiritual growth, we can no longer recommend their events, nor will we publish new ones from them.
Therefore, all links from One Commune events will now redirect to other events that will help serve you during your spiritual growth journey.
Even though we disagree with their decision, we are grateful for your support and recommend you also check out our events calendar for more great events!

What You'll Experience During the “Pause, Breathe, Be Here Now” Meditation Experience
You’ll let go of “getting somewhere” or “getting something” out of meditation, and instead learn to recognize the profound peace that comes with simply, softly being in the present moment.
Through this multilayered series of practices and dharma talks, you will investigate the mechanics of your mind, so you can free yourself from clinging to the past or worrying about the future.
Instead, you will commune deeply with the infinite now – free of judgment, resentment, frustration, and pain.
During this 10-day meditation experience, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Become a kinder, more compassionate, and loving human being
- Loosen the grip of judgment and criticism
- Stop trying to be “right” and instead learn to be free
- Learn to trust the process of life
- Investigate the mechanics of your mind
- Slow down and really rest
When you find yourself drifting off into a painful past or an uncertain future, or simply when you get wrapped up in the stickiness of the present, the meditations in this series are a powerful resource for you to pause, breathe, and be with the infinite present — a place of true tranquility.
You'll also learn how to bring mindful awareness into your daily experience of life.
Many of us use meditation as a means to an end. As just another way to obtain what we want––less stress, better health, a good night’s rest. While meditation can offer all that, and so much more, the practice isn’t meant to be another pursuit. It’s not here to produce a result or an outcome, despite what our goal-chasing culture says.
Yet so many of us want or need our meditation practice to get us somewhere or something, but that is exactly the opposite of how meditation is here to support you.
Ram Dass knew this. Through his life and his teachings, he offered a glimpse into how we can free ourselves from the daily go-getter mindchatter and access a greater state of presence — here and now.
What You'll Learn During the “Pause, Breathe, Be Here Now” Meditation Experience
- Use breath and mantra to access states of timelessness
- Stop turning on yourself and, instead, turn toward yourself with love
- Avoid the extremes — either being too involved or cutting yourself off
- “Change the channel” of your mind when you need to
- Soften into lovingkindness and forgiveness
- Find the real you inside

About Ram Dass
When Ram Dass first went to India in 1967, he was still Dr. Richard Alpert, a prominent Harvard psychologist and psychedelic pioneer with Dr. Timothy Leary. In India, he met his guru, Neem Karoli Baba, affectionately known as Maharajji, who gave Ram Dass his name, which means “servant of God.” Everything changed then – his intense dharmic life started, and he became a pivotal influence on a culture that has reverberated with the words “Be Here Now” ever since. His unique skill in getting people to cut through and feel divine love without dogma is still a positive influence on many people all over the planet.
